General medicine
and medical studies in Europe

The study program of General medicine (GM) is one of the most popular study programs for international students studying abroad. It lasts for 6 years and is organized into 12 semesters. The program is offered as an integrated course (joined Bachelor and Master courses) across European countries. The structure of medical courses might differ in various European countries, but in most cases, students start with theoretical subjects and continue with preclinical subjects and clinical subjects. Students must pass state exams, write final theses, and defend them. They are awarded degrees of Doctor of General Medicine (abbreviation MUDr. in Slovakia and Czechia, M.D. in Latvia, Cyprus, and dr.med. in Bosnia).

We collaborate with 8 medical universities in Europe as official representatives. The programs listed below have ECTS accreditations, which means students can go for study exchanges in Europe and they can work in the European Union after graduation. These universities also offer transfer options or recognition of completed studies from previous studies. Medical University of Silesia and Riga Stradins University offer not only September intake, but also February (Spring) intake for international students.
